Waterproof Cable Gland Product Series
Verchil waterproof cable gland product series covers metal, nylon and plastic structures for different enclosure sealing conditions. Each cable gland should be matched according to the mounting hole thread, cable outer diameter, material requirement, IP rating and installation environment.
For model confirmation, send the mounting hole thread, cable outer diameter, cable type, material requirement and installation environment to Verchil. Our team will help match the suitable waterproof cable gland series.
Why Source Waterproof Cable Glands from Verchil
Verchil waterproof cable glands seal cable entry, provide strain relief, and fix cables in outdoor enclosures, control boxes, junction boxes, communication cabinets, marine, and lighting equipment.
The range covers nylon PA6, nickel-plated brass, and SS304/SS316 in metric, PG, G/PF, and NPT threads, with standard, divided, united, flexible, and corrugated-pipe structures and a compression sealing ring for water ingress protection.
They pair with our waterproof, aviation, RJ45 waterproof, and heavy-duty connectors.
For every project, Verchil supports material selection, thread confirmation, cable-diameter matching, samples, and OEM/ODM customization.
How to Choose the Right Waterproof Cable Gland
Match six things: cable outer diameter, mounting thread (Metric / PG / G/PF / NPT), material (nylon / brass / SS), required IP rating, rigid vs flexible, and cable vs conduit entry. For a step-by-step walkthrough, see our waterproof cable gland types guide.
Nylon, Brass or Stainless Steel?
Pick by environment — nylon for cost-sensitive outdoor use, brass for industrial cabinets, SS304/SS316 for marine and corrosive sites.
| Material | Best for | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Nylon PA6 | General outdoor / cost-sensitive | Lightweight, corrosion-free |
| Nickel-plated brass | Industrial control cabinets | Robust, EMC-friendly |
| SS304 / SS316 | Marine, chemical, coastal | Highest corrosion resistance |
Thread Options
We supply all four common thread standards — confirm against your enclosure opening:
| Thread | Typical region / use |
|---|---|
| Metric (M) | New designs, global standard |
| PG | Legacy panels, retrofit |
| G / PF | Pipe-thread enclosures |
| NPT | North American equipment |
Waterproof Cable Gland FAQ
What thread specifications do you have?
We offer a full range of thread standards, including Metric thread(Metric/M series), German thread(PG series) and American thread(NPT series).
I don 't know whether to choose M series or PG series?
It mainly depends on the opening thread of your equipment. M series(metric) is the universal standard, pitch is 1.5mm ; pG series(German) are common in old equipment or some European equipment.
If it is a new opening, it is recommended to give priority to the M series.
What is IP68 here?
Our IP68 certification means that in the case of locking the cable, it is possible to prevent dust from entering and to keep the water from entering under the specified water pressure.
A circular cable with a suitable wire diameter must be used to achieve this effect, and a flat wire needs a special inner core.
How to choose the right model?
The selection of the model mainly depends on two points : one is the thread size of the mounting hole, and the other is the diameter of the cable(outer diameter).
Please select according to your cable thickness according to our 'clamping range' table.
Metal or nylon?
Nylon(plastic) is economical, corrosion-resistant, suitable for general indoor and outdoor use.
Nickel-plated brass and stainless steel(metal) have higher strength, impact resistance and higher appearance, which are suitable for heavy machinery.
Does it include locking nuts and gaskets?
Yes, our standard packaging usually contains the main body, lock nut(Lock Nut) and rubber gasket(O-ring / gasket), which can be directly installed.
If I have more than one cable, can I use a connector?
The standard joint is a hole through a line. If you have multiple flat or thin wires, we can customize the porous sealed rubber core to achieve a joint to wear multiple wires and keep waterproof.
